[Sirius Black]

Name: Sirius Black

What's our thing?: After I have travelled so far we'd set the fire to the third bar

History: Sirius and Gideon should have known each other since childhood, but as the Prewetts didn't quite agree with the Black's philosophy on certain issues their families didn't generally end up frequenting the same parties and events. Thus, the two boys didn't actually meet until their first year at Hogwarts. Since they in the same year and sorted into the same house it would have been impossible for them not to meet at that point. Unfortunately, they didn't get along very well at all during their first year.

Although Sirius never quite fully agreed with his parents, he'd never known anything but living life as a Black so didn't take his placement into Gryffindor very well at first. This led to much head-bumping between the Black and both Prewetts. By the time second year rolled around, however, James had begun to pull the real Sirius out from behind he'd kept up for his family with a little help from Remus and Peter. Although Gideon and Sirius still held a bit of animosity from their first year, their squabbles began becoming fewer and farther between and, by the end of the year, the pair actually considered themselves friends.

Since then, they have grown steadily closer, finding that they actually have much in common. The fact that they are both beaters on Gryffindor's Quidditch team helps strengthen their bond as well. They have a tendency to get highly competitive with one another, though, and still have their occasional fight simply because they are too much alike, both factors that keep them from becoming anything more than good friends during the school year and occassional pen pals over the summer. Plus, Sirius already has James who he practically shares a brain with and Remus to serve as his voice of reason that he never pays any mind to while Gideon has Fabian to fill the slot of his closest comrade, so neither boy has ever really felt any need to push their friendship farther.

I'm afraid I don't have any juicy plot ideas ... but maybe once this site gets rolling I'll have a stroke of genius. ;D

I didn't get to talk to you much during first year, 'cause I was busy trying to get Sirius to be nice, but eventually, when he 'came out of his filfthy, snobby shell' we got talking again.

We're both on the Quidditch team, too, but I'll get to boss you around this year. =P
