Character Info
Canon or Original?: Orginal
Name/Nicknames: Addria Mari Winters
Age: 15
Year: 5th
House: Preferably the same house as her brother, but if not, I’ll live.
Blood: Pure
Physical Description:
Hair: Brown, long, just a little past her shoulders and wavy.
Eyes: Brown, big, strange, they give her the appearance of being surprised all the time
Height: 5'10
Figure: thin and boyish, not very noticeable feminine features, her legs are extremely long. She is what most people would call, "a bean pole"
Skin: Caucasion, white, normal tone, not tan and not pale.
Other: Addria has a small face and it gives her a mouse-like sort of appearance and her forehead, in her opinion, is entirely too big.
Personality: Addria can talk your ears off your head if you let her. The girl simply does not shut up. Some people absolutely adore her for this and others, want to pound her face into the ground. Either way love her or hate her, she is probably one of the most bouncy people ever. It's not like she's always happy, but when in a good mood, she can get pretty crazy sometimes. She is considered a good secret-keeper by most, because her ability to talk doesn't mean she's going to gossip. She tries to get the truth before any "passed on" information leaves her mouth. As far as relationships and things go, everything is still really new to her and she's still really awkward. She is self conscious about her height, since she isn't exactly the shortest girl in school. She is slow to anger, and even slower to make a fuss about things. Unlike her brother Addria has learned the finer point on letting things go. She'll usually be the one standing in the middle of the argument, trying to calm everyone down. Her level-head is what she considers her best trait.
History
Parents: Molly Winters (mother) Jason Winters (Father)
Sibling (s): Chad Winters (half-brother)
Pets: Barley Winters (cat)
Overall History: Addria was born soon after the marriage of Molly and Jason Winters. For a very brief period in her life she lived in Ireland, although she hardly remembers it. She was told that she loved it, by her mother; well more like loved the huge open fields. When she turned two she moved to England with the rest of her family so her dad didn't have to travel back and forth for his job. Her half-brother Chad Winters moved with them.
Addria used to always want to be around Chad when she was younger, every time he went to school she'd try to follow. Although Chad didn't seem to like the idea of a muggle school much, Addria was thrilled with it. She wanted to know more and more about it and would sometimes tire Chad with her questions. In fact when she was younger she tired a lot of people with her questions. She talked for several hours straight on a train ride once asking about things, that were outside the window. After awhile the questions died down, but not the amount of talking.
Addria was home schooled by her mother, while her father worked. She was taught the basics in muggle math, reading, and writing. Although she pleaded with her father to let her go to the muggle school with Chad, he had strict rules on his children's education. Chad was only aloud to go because Molly had made a deal with Chad's father.
Sick and tired of being home schooled all the time Addria was relieved when her letter for Hogwarts finally came. Since Chad had already gone to Hogwarts Addria was of course green with envy. Surprisingly, for being homes chooled she was quite the social butterfly, introducing herself to random people on the train and just starting conversations. She was determined not to be a loner.
She learned quickly that gossip was lead to losing friends. She was a huge gossiper in the school up until her third year when she was called out on it. She made quite the scene and nearly lost her whole group of friends, luckily they all forgave her.
Now in her fifth year, she still talks A LOT, but tries not to fall into that ever so easy grapevine. Her brother tries to protect her, and wards off every single boy that has ever showed any interest in her, much to Addria's annoyance. They clash a lot more then they used to, mostly over stupid things, but Addria just figured it was part of getting older.
Likes:People, being social, she loves cats and absolutely adores magical creatures, making Care of Magical Creatures one of her favorite subjects. The color blue and the rain.
Dislikes:awkward silences, fighting, being told about her flaws, and winter (ironically)
Strengths: Keeping a conversation going, Care of Magical Creatures, being able to stay calm enough to calm others, and math.
Weaknesses: Gossiping, height complex, she never shuts up, trusts people easily, and is really bad at transfiguration.
Patronus: Mouse
Boggart: The dark
Anything extra:
Wand: 6 1/2 inch Rosewood, Unicorn hair core
If there was one word to describe your character, what would it be? Quirky
Roleplaying Sample:
"Sorry, what... Didn't see you there", Addria muttered as she passed by the throng of older girls coming from the bathroom, why they all had to get up early and make themselves beautiful, dabbing some weird gunk on their faces was be known to Addria. She herself preferred sleep over gunk dabbing. So everyday she would be entered the bathroom just as everyone was leaving, lucky her. She be would pushed aside at least five times, and her toe was usually stepped on once or twice. How girls that were ten times shorter then her could be so vicious Addria would never understand.
Finally making her way into the bathroom she stopped and looked in the mirror, "Brilliant", she said sarcastically as she looked at her puffy eyes and misplaced hair. Running a brush through it quickly and turning on the water of the shower at the same time, she waited for it to get warm, which it usually didn't.
After about ten minutes of waiting for the water to be warm enough to step into and a five minute shower Addria was back out throwing a drying charm on her hair. Something she had perfected, since coming to Hogwarts. The first couple of times she tried it she nearly burned her hair clear off. Brushing it out once more, it fell into it's usually array of wavy strands, each apparently wanting to do their own thing.
"Good as it can be", Addria muttered before leaving the bathroom. Nearly knocking into a late second year that was too short to be in her line of vision, "Sorry", Addria muttered quickly before throwing the door aside.[/size]
